An early Medieval silver ring, from c. 1000-1200 A.D. with a tapering hoop and broad flaring shoulders, the entire outer surface incised with fine linear and chevron ornament. The octagonal bezel is engraved with a crisp eight-pointed star formed by intersecting triangles radiating from a central point, creating a bold geometric composition that fills the face completely.

The surface retains a warm grey-silver patina with darker pigment settled in the incised lines, bringing the decoration into sharp relief. The consistent engraving across both shoulders and bezel speaks to a confident and skilled hand.

Rings of this type were worn across the medieval world as both personal adornment and status objects, the geometric star motif carrying possible apotropaic or symbolic significance alongside its decorative appeal.
